Live VC herd effect
We have in Israel a tv show called the sharks, where all kind of entrepreneurs present their inventions to professional investors (one of them is a technology VC) and they either end up with an investment or not during the session.
Anyway, yesterday I was a witness to a live investor herd effect. A potential investment that was spotted enthusiastically by one of the investors, made all the rest of the panel jump on ship without further thoughts. All the "good" reasons they gave prior entrepreneur such as: it is not my domain of expertise, we don't know the details well, etc… have vanished and gone in a second thanks to the sparkling eyes of the insightful investor.
