MyFamily.com, a Bellvue, WA based provider of web services that connects
families, acquired Encounter Technologies, a Georgia based developer of
communications, for an undisclosed amount.
PTC, a Needham, MA based provider of product lifecycle management (PLM),
content management and dynamic publishing solutions, acquired Mathsoft, a
Cambridge, MA based provider of software that helps engineering
organizations create, automate, document and reuse engineering calculations
critical to the product development process, for $63 million.
RSA Security, a Beford, MA based provider of technology for protecting
online identities and digital assets, acquired PassMark Security, a Menlo
Park, CA based developer of software for identity authentication, for $44.7
million.
Subex Systems, a Bangalore, India based global telecom software product
company, merged with Azure Solutions, a London England based provider of
revenue assurance software and services, for an undisclosed amount.
Synnex, a Freemont, CA based provider of IT supply chain services, acquired
Telpar, a Columbia, MD based distributor of automatic identification and
data collection systems, for $5 million.
Trimble, a California-based developer of global positioning system
technology, acquired Eleven Technology Inc, a Cambridge, MA based provider
of handheld device software, for an undisclosed amount.
Viacom, a New York, NY based developer of programming and content across all
media platforms, acquired Xfire, a Menlo Park, CA based provider of online
gaming communications, for $102 million.
